Megumi Fushiguro
Megumi Fushiguro plays a crucial role in the Jujutsu Kaisen series as a grade 2 jujutsu sorcerer and a first-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High, sharing this journey with Yuji Itadori and Nobara Kugisaki. He has a significant connection to the Zenin Family as the son of Toji Fushiguro and step-brother of Tsumiki Fushiguro.
Megumi's demeanor is marked by stoicism, aloofness, and a calculating nature. He maintains a nearly unchanging neutral expression and approaches every situation with utmost seriousness, a stark contrast to the outgoing and playful personalities of Yuji, Nobara, and Satoru. This often results in irritation, with Yuji observing that Megumi appears to be perpetually on edge.
Megumi's steadfastness is a trait that dates back to his childhood, where he exhibited seriousness, thoughtfulness, and maturity beyond his years. When introduced to the Zenin clan's circumstances, he displayed indifference towards his father, expressing concern only for Tsumiki's well-being. Despite not reaching the level of a special grade, Megumi possesses a formidable reservoir of cursed energy. He consistently summons shikigami and reinforces his body with cursed energy during battles, demonstrating exceptional stamina. Megumi can simultaneously summon up to three shikigami, and this multitasking is a constant feature of his combat style.
While his cursed energy was depleted during confrontations with Sukuna and other adversaries, Megumi retained the ability to summon Mahoraga if necessary. His remarkable cursed energy endurance is evident in various battles, such as the Goodwill Event, where he employed a high volume of shikigami without exhausting himself fully. Furthermore, he boasts the capability to conjure a domain, a feat that demands a substantial amount of cursed energy. During the Shibuya incident, Megumi employed shikigami both before and after initiating his domain without depleting his reserves. A similar feat was accomplished when facing Reggie, as Megumi used Max Elephant alongside other shikigami and still had enough energy to activate his domain. Even after dismantling the domain, he summoned Divine Dog: Totality with his remaining cursed energy.
Megumi's mastery of the Ten Shadows Technique, a Zenin Family inheritance, allows him to summon up to ten potential shikigami by utilizing shadows as intermediaries. This technique also grants him control over shadows, enabling him to conceal himself within them and store objects.
Notable shikigami in Megumi's arsenal include Divine Dogs, winged shikigami with tracking abilities and lethal features. Divine Dog: Totality, an upgraded version, boasts formidable offensive capabilities against special grade cursed spirits. Nue, a winged shikigami with electro-shock wings, serves Megumi for scouting and mobility support. Great Serpent is a gigantic snake shikigami used for ensnaring targets. Toad, a large toad shikigami, possesses a powerful tongue for grabbing and transporting individuals. The Well's Unknown Abyss combines Toad and Nue to summon winged toads supporting Megumi in combat. Max Elephant is an elephant shikigami with water-producing capabilities and offensive potential. Rabbit Escape comprises rabbit shikigami, employed for distractions and assessing adversaries' abilities. Finally, Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga is an uncontrollable and immensely powerful trump card within the Ten Shadows Technique, only summoned when Megumi anticipates a losing battle.
Megumi's domain, Chimera Shadow Garden, envelops an area with fluid shadows capable of rapidly producing shikigami. Although incomplete and lacking a sure-hit function, this domain enhances the Ten Shadows Technique to 110% of its potential. Megumi creates clones of himself and shikigami from the shadows but requires an indoor space overlap to enclose his target within the domain, as it lacks a barrier function.
