Nobara Kugisaki

Nobara Kugisaki holds a significant role in the Jujutsu Kaisen series as the tritagonist. She is a first-year student and a grade 3 jujutsu sorcerer at Tokyo Jujutsu High, receiving instruction from Satoru Gojo alongside Yuji and Megumi. Nobara exudes confidence and boldness, possessing an unwavering sense of self. Above all, she is resolute in staying true to her identity, taking immense pride in being both a strong combatant and a person of aesthetic appeal. She adamantly resists any attempts to sway her beliefs. At first glance, Nobara may come across as assertive and even somewhat haughty. Her initial encounters with Yuji and Megumi were marked by expressions of their perceived inferiority, and she engaged in lengthy disagreements with Yuji during their initial joint mission. Despite this outward demeanor, Nobara harbors a deeply caring and responsible nature, which she tends to keep concealed from most individuals. Through shared missions and battles, Yuji and Megumi evolve into Nobara's closest allies.

Nobara has repeatedly demonstrated her ability to contend with jujutsu practitioners of higher grades. Prior to her enrollment, she already possessed a proficient understanding of curse exorcism techniques. Although she initially lacked physical prowess, she compensated with her mental fortitude. While engaged in combat at the Eishu Detention Center, Nobara effectively defended herself until she depleted her supply of nails. Endowed with a substantial reservoir of cursed energy, Nobara adeptly manipulates it. Her nails are continually infused with cursed energy, enabling her to levitate them for precision strikes. Through the application of cursed techniques, she expands the field of cursed energy surrounding her nails, a feat she accomplishes repeatedly without signs of fatigue. Following her mastery of Black Flash, Nobara's comprehension of cursed energy and its utilization experienced a significant surge. She has since endeavored to recreate that sensation in pursuit of her full potential.

The Black Flash technique induces spatial distortion upon the connection of cursed energy with a physical strike within an infinitesimally brief timespan. This phenomenon causes the cursed energy to radiate in black, resulting in an attack amplified to 2.5 times the force of a standard blow. Nobara initially unleashed Black Flash on Kechizu, bringing the curse to the brink of demise. Nobara's Straw Doll Technique involves a set of tools including a hammer, nails, and a straw doll. By channeling her cursed energy through these implements, she executes various techniques, such as redistributing damage between her straw doll and her target. Resonance, a sub-technique, employs a straw doll as an effigy to direct Nobara's cursed energy toward her target, enabling her to target critical areas of the opponent's body. Activation of Resonance results in the emergence of large black spikes from the target's chest. Additionally, the Hairpin technique triggers an explosive release of cursed energy from the imbued nails. Her signature metal hammer, adorned with a heart motif, serves as Nobara's primary weapon. She wields it for close-range combat, but more often employs it to launch cursed energy-charged nails at her adversaries from a distance. The hammer is integral to activating her Resonance technique. The metal nails, infused with cursed energy, allow Nobara to levitate and project them with precision, constituting a cornerstone of all her cursed techniques. On occasions, Nobara employs a straw doll as part of her innate technique to perform exorcisms. She also wields a red rubber mallet for non-lethal attacks against humans, ensuring their safety.
